CPEC 2.0 in an Era of Connectivity Competition: Third-Party Participation, Security Externalities, and Policy Options for a Sustainable Way Forward
The China–Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a major network of roads, ports, and energy infrastructure designed to connect western China to the Arabian Sea and to revive Pakistan’s development. In this presentation, we briefly introduce the “CPEC 2.0” turning point, including new potential partners, risks, and the choices that will determine its future.
